Being a silly goose I made this: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/666846

So..yesh yesh...

He's out of time.

I still have a ton of stuff to work on. Arc Infinitum 4 is probably the biggest thing that maybe people would want to see. I might be able to get it done by the end of the year but probably its going to look like january is more likely since I have some side project commissions to do that are pushing stuff back.

Also if you guys like this cartoon I could expand it into a few fallout 4 anime shorts dealing with different things in the game that are fun. Power armor would be a fun episode.

Since most of this years animations were drama or action I decided to do something more silly like my old stuff.

Thanks as always to my viewers and patreon ppl.

This is a short fight scene standalone thing I just did to practice and also compare it to my fight scene thing from last year here:  http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/646537

I have a ton of stuff to finish up for this year probably into next so... the list

Gunmetal Black (Redoing the fight scenes because they werent great)

Yandere-project (sucks that its behind scheduale but atleast I found some music for it)

Believe it or not I have all the audio for GPS 5 done, so it just needs to be done. I'm not sure whether to go 2d or 3d or some sort of hodge podge.

All these projects are taking up like 200GB of space on my HDD so....I really gotta get em done

Arc Inifinitum 4 is also on the list but I haven't really touched that yet.

If anybody wants to help me animate either 2D or 3D I'd be much obliged. I can teach you 3d well enough or 2.5D basically like motion graphics or whatever. I'm still using Flash CS3 if you're interested

My stuff has been sucking lately and now I really think I know why.

Lately I have just been animating. Just that. Animating. Not even listening to music while animating. Just creating character movements, fights, no clear planning of what the background or mood of anthing is. So everything is hollow, Everything is going through the motions.

I just realized this NOW, after pretty much finishing a short thing that I'm going to have to chop up and add in some music. I need to start planning out the music before hand animating to that. It'll make one coherent thing.

With my old animation I kind of did that because I knew the soundtracks I wanted before hand. Lately most of my stuff I haven't had any idea of the music or feel of the animation so I've just been throwing in songs after the fact hoping it fits and it doesn't. It also breaks the flow of the animation.

Not that anybody cares but. This, along with some other things I think are why my stuff has been sucking hard lately

Episode 3 has some action sequences as the story continues from Ep2. Yes this ep was heavily influenced by Ghost in the Shell. Let's face it, I love that franchise, and this whole series was based on the mythos of that world but with a few differences.

The world is largely post apocalyptic with only a few beacons of civilization remaining living in arcologies. Episode 4 has been written and has been sent out to the VAs and will advance the plot a little more but Episode 4 won't have as much action as it will be more strict detective type stuff.

This series is the only one that I have a very good idea of where I want it to go and have been setting up some things since the first episode so this series will prolly be continuted indefinately or for as long as possible.

As for other things, Gunmetal Black will be wrapped up shortly Probably at the end of the month since I'm pretty much done but want to let Arc 3 simmer for a bit so ppl can watch it before spamming all these things.

After that is the backlog of stuff, Kung Fu cowboy, Yandere project, Arc 4. I'm not sure which project will be done in which order. It'll probably be easier to do Arc 4 and Yandere since both need hardly any special animation stuff

Urm... So I wasted a month a side project that I'll be releasing in october....here's some pics.

Also I learned some schtuff by reading some things on reddit about the Guilty Gear game and how to make my 3d look like 2d a little bit more....will it work? Who knows...

In the meantime I'm working on Gunmetal Black 24. Which should be done soon. I only need Sir Undead's Throat muscle sounds when he is feeling better.

Maeko's taking a dump

Apparently this morphed into full metal alchemist

The Blonde Luigi Chick is the new re-done Su (aka the gal with pink hair from Before)

We Even have Albinos now complete with red eyes. His name is Sky.

Apparently Harima has mastered the art of Chidori from Sasuke

My new fav character Light. That gets her sense of style from Ranko from Arc Infinitum...Tube top and trenchcoat....

Is she Hot or Cold??? We'll Never know! Tune in next time kiddies!

Any whoo- It's almost done....just need to do another talky scene and the ending scene and some sort of chase bit in the middle

Thanks to my patreon folks for bearing with the hickup from the Yandere project. Im trying to finish this up ASAP

yay Gunmetal Black episode one is done.

Watch it here: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/659791

I learned alot and most definately will STOP not usng mocap in some scenes. I did it a few times in this episode and its noticeable- atleast to me. That said, I think my fights improved a little bit. Im not sure.

anyways next up we have Coming Attractions

This hopefully will be done in august

Then after that will probably be

I'd like consider maybe getting some professional motion capture bvh packs for this like walking and random everyday stuff just to build up my animation library and cut some of the workload.

As always thanks for watching (or not) =D

Yay 1000+ fans sort of....

Thanks to Tom for making that banner thing although now I'm leery since theres a bunch of ppl that clicked on it without watching my prior stuff. It seems a cheesy way to break 1000 but I'll try to get better.

One main issue I have been having which is readily visible in the Spike V Revy video is the lack of easing and some of the stiff and non smooth animation.

Of course thats craptastic animation on my part but also I did not use any motion capture in that as I just wanted to practice my basic animtion which is why it looks different from say Arc Infinitum.

Never again! Motion capture forever

Anyways I'm trying to work on some stuff though I'm not sure how I want to do it. Funny thing with 3d is you can imitate a more 2D style or 3D style which would be like trying to make something like game cutscenes.

I lean more toward the 2D so I'm going to try that first

Here's some raw animation from the gunmetal black fight with no effects or things yet. Personally I like this lower frame rate that mimics some 2d stuff. It just has the right amount of 2D jumpy-ness i guess. Also it results in much smaller file sizes. 60FPS files ARE HUGE. I can't do a whole series with that since I'd run out of HDD space. Also with the lower frame rate, the physics twitches and problems are much less noticeable.

Hopefully I'll get this done already, it'd taking forever

This was a short test animation I made while waiting for the lines for Gunmetal Black episode 00. I decided to test rendering this at 60 fps just to see what it looks like which is why it looks a  little different. Personally I dont like 60 fps as its too much like a videogame. Thatd be good for something like final fantasy or something but it doesn't look cartoon enough since the 3d rig is somewhat limited as well as my mocap ability. I think the lower frame rates look more right for the stuff i'm doing also since the models themselves are more cartoony. I'll be working on making some smears and stuff for future fight scenes since that will add to the 2d-ish look I want.

Gunmetal Black is pretty much done but I had to rewrite a scene and redo a character to make him more interesting and a better fit for the story so I made this character from the Ryu char.

Harima Haruo, son of Harima Kenji lool

I also have to make his fight scene debut which will take a little time

Good news everyone!

I made a short sienfeld-ish thing about a skype conversation taken verbatim and acted out by anime characters. I don't think I'll post it in my videos because its not really super great but meh.

For the patreon supporters In addition to some specific tutorials, I am also doing animation sessions so that if you're interested, you can see not only how I do stuff, but also the progress of the animation I am currently working on.

If you're so interested here is the link

Basically I just ramble explaining stuff as I go and you can see the process. These will be long videos kind of like livestreams.

Best news is Codeblack sent me the lines so I can start adding them in to the animations now

Should you be interested in learning how to make a sci fi rifle model for 3d animation or games, or 3d printing. Here you go.

The program is here to download : http://www.sketchup.com/download

Part 2 will be done shortly and posted here once its done or you can just sub to my youtube and get it.
