wow, it really looks like a background from every modern anime nowday, cool ^^

I guess the trick is to not just use the painting filters but to merge the paint filter layer with the original source at something like 50 to 70% opacity so it has the painted feel but also the clean lines that most modern animes have

Really impressive to see it all come together!

Nothing's ever simple, is it? You're a one woman army! Perhaps we should clone you....

It seems i have developed an allergy to that blur, but i like everything else.

i think i found a way to make it crisper without that blur- the problem is merging foreground with bkgrnd

Why don't you play with the shadows an lighting? like adding some tree's shadows to cover the grounds, or some light beams that give a sense of passing through the leaves? that way they don't feel all that much like a poster on a wall, you could also add some slight green tones to the light.

I like to think that the rich forest is actually surrounding the whole mansion/temple.

yeah thats the stuff that i can do in post in sony vegas- i didn't do it in those pictures yet though since that was photoshop-

I could do it in photoshop but to use in an animation i'll have to learn how to do it with vegas

a nice technique that can save a lot of time with production. Your images does want me to add a lens blur effect because the image is too sharp that my eyes isnt focused on a particular subject.

It cant be that hard, even more those lights effects normally have the light moving back and forth as to emulate the trees being moved by the wind, it is a nice effect and quite a popular one too, the more i think about it the more i want to see it.

I made a lazy quick google about it, i am not familiar at all with sony vegas, but i found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVwW_AhShm0 is a cheap way of getting the effect, not exactly what i had in mind but maybe if you fiddle enough with it you may get something, however this video does tells me that there must be a way (somewhere) to get the correct effect in a simple enough manner.

Also can't you just do it in Photoshop and they pass the key frames to vegas? it sounds time consuming but there is always that.

time consuming....

i actually think i have the effects in vegas built in- just haven't used them yet. I'll try it in this short I'm making and hopefully it'll be done at the end of the week

Oh i will be looking forward to it, best of lucks!

Somehow... this wasn't my day. I'm very grateful you mentioned me in the author comments of Wu, just wish you had found a spot for my username in the end credits :( Still love you to pieces, and keeping the Paetron constant is a good reminder to viewers to pony up... still nervous about spreading my financial info to too many databases, I'm just anal that way, and with XP on a 11 year old laptop that burns my left hand :p guess I'm feeling quite alone and vulnerable.

Plus, well, a lot of crappy stuff happened to me recently |: Guess I'm living up to my avatar's look lol, once things settle down, I can contribute a little more to your tenacious efforts. Hey, at least someone honked at me for the NG sticker on my bumper, anything for the cause, you know?

I'll remove it if you'd like.

I guess its cool to see NG is still relevant in the world although its starting to get an aging demographic.

Still I hope things turn around for you!

Nah it's okay, I'm flattered to have been mentioned at all :3

Bleh, there's so many vehicles up my bum (colonial east coast traffic), it was bound to happen after a month of driving with the sticker back there.

Hugs solve a lot of problems, just... no one around to hug. Lol, I'm an aging demographic :)
