DO STUFF. DON'T STOP.

I'd love for Police Cops to be a running thing, I'm obviously biased because I'm IN it, but moreso because I'll take more of anything to watch that even almost reminds me of Bebop. Always. Forever.

Let me know if I can pitch in on any of that stuff! Police Cops was rad as fuck, you did good.

You're as diligent as they come, but maybe take a week off from anything anime... have a nap/wake up, then watch GPS 1-4 in one sitting, then go for a walk/lie down outside and look up at the clouds for a while... bring a notepad. The going outside part is important - I had better ideas outside, before I started writing/producing, then I did later on in life, in a box, as an adult. Not a happy epiphany for me..

Good Idea. Incidently A long time ago Jay and I were working on a project but it got stale. After sitting on it for a while we both came up for some really interesting ideas although it won't be the typical silly stuff I was making

I believe in you! The world would be a much better place, if there were more women producers.

Drifting off from silly stuff is a notion I agree with for you. But that's just me. I think a shit-ton of your awesomely jocular anime references and homages go over the majority public's head (including my own), which has a tendency to hurt the joke intended because like me, when you write a reference joke, it doesn't work nearly as well without understanding the reference. We can't all be Egoraptor, heh.

But on the topic of doing some more serious stuff, IIIIIiiiII WOULD say that, because I usually prefer action/drama to comedy any day of the week. I genuinely think a lot of your sense of skill and style is a bit wasted on comedy. Real talk, your writing might need a hand, but I haven't looked or read deep enough to make a claim as offensive as that, so don't take that one too personally.

I'm far from a real writer, but if you ever wanna toss ideas at me and see what I think about them, feel free to.

Yup the problem I think is execution. I can come up with tons of ideas with no problem but actually fleshing them out into a story is different. It's tough with animation since I have to be mindful of the medium. I could slow down the pace of a story but then I'd have something like a 15minute long episode and that'd take forever to make.

Your projects have always been really episodic in nature, trying to create fleshed out episodes which could be valid pilots or series entries. Perhaps really short episodes? Normally shorts only work with comedy, but I think you could do shorts for action and drama as well and still get away with it.

Hell if I know, you understand that stuff better than I do. I'm just saying you've always been really ambitious, maybe you oughtta give yourself some easier bites to chew.

I'm going to make it episodic but I'm not going to cut it up like a typical episode

Basically it would be like minisodes or chapters of the story. It'll be interesting since Jay's writing it but I also have some ideas of my own.

I imagine the shorts will be 5 or 6 minutes long. It'll have more dialogue than usually and i'm going to try to work more on the animation and making the mood look interesting/pretty etc
